About Us

Every second Friday at 6 p.m., something special happens at 11440 Elks Circle: the Red Hot Peppers Dixieland Jazz Band takes the stage, donations hat gets passed, and the room fills with people who came for the music and stayed for the company. No cover charge, no pretense. Just good food, live brass, and neighbors who actually know each other's names.

Lodge #2484 sits on a quiet stretch of Rancho Cordova that most folks only discover through word of mouth or a fellow Elk. The grounds include RV hookup sites, making it a rare find for traveling members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks who want a familiar, fraternal stop between Sacramento and the Sierra foothills.

The lodge carries the BPOE's century-old commitment to veterans, youth programs, and community giving. Every dollar spent at the bar or dropped in the jazz-night donation jar circles back into scholarships, holiday food drives, and support for the men and women who served. That's the Elks promise, and Lodge #2484 takes it seriously.

What We Offer

The lodge offers an accessible RV parking area with electrical hookups for traveling Elks members. Spots fill up, so calling ahead is wise. Power reliability has been uneven at some posts, so bring a surge protector and confirm your site before settling in. Water is available on the property.

Inside, the lodge hall hosts regular social events anchored by the second-Friday Dixieland jazz night, open to members and their guests. Food is available for purchase during events, and the bar keeps things social without the noise of a commercial venue.

Membership in Lodge #2484 opens the door to the full BPOE network, including reciprocal privileges at Elks lodges nationwide, access to the charitable programs that define the order, and a standing invitation to show up on a Friday evening when the band is cooking and the crowd is warm.

"We have stayed twice at this place with our RV. Both times we’ve lost our surge protector, the first time I thought it was our fault. The second time was due to the plug overheating. Went to go get the “camp host” and he wouldn’t answer his door. (His car was there)The night before, I had taken my dog out and had an overwhelming smell of propane as soon as I opened my door. Tracked it down to my neighbors trailer. Went to let the “camp host” know and to ask to shut it off because my neighbor was not home, he had no idea where the propane tanks were located. Now it’s 103 outside and we have to find another place to go that has power so my dogs don’t get sick from the heat."

"This is a dead lodge. The RV sites are open but no water at the sites and no power to the posts at about half the sites according to another person staying there in a motorhome. There is water available at the front of the lodge and another spigot in the back by the dump station. The dump station was locked and there was no one in the lodge to get a key from. After reading the review about someone ruining their surge protector I didn’t want to risk it and decided to go elsewhere. We have stayed at the Carmichael lodge which is close by and very nice."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
